He was predeceased by: his wife Toni L. Banks; his parents, Red Banks and Minnie Bell Banks; his siblings, Soney, Elmer Banks, Edith Anderson and Margaret Stone; and his grandson Wesley Chad Deerman.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Banks Rodgers, Angie Ramsey (Todd), Bubba Banks (Beckey), Tiger Banks (Ann), Bronson Banks (Renae), April Tucker (Dean) and Shellie Banks (Fred Cain); his adoptive daughter Lisa Boozer; his siblings, Peggy Johnson, James Banks, Jackie Banks, Randall Banks, Marlon Banks and Jeanie Hamock; and his brother-in-law Ray Kines. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
