The memory of Sibyl Martin Hammonds (Albertville, Alabama), who passed away on December 10, 2025 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband R. C. Hammonds; her parents, Virgil Martin and Dovie Gilbreath Martin; her siblings, Glenda Belle Martin, James Martin and Doyle Martin; and her sons-in-law, Richard Copeland and John E. Gurtler.

She is survived by: her children, Joan Hammonds Gurtler, Karen Copeland Troulias (Wayne), Richard Hammonds (Lisa) and Stan Hammonds (Ginger); and her sister-in-law Jeanette Hammonds McMullins. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 1:25 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Brown Service Funeral Home (6906 US-431, Albertville, AL 35950). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
