He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Tate and Laverne Tate; and his sister Irene Tate Gandy. He is survived by: his wife Carol Sellers Tate; his children, Mark K. Tate (Janet) of Alexander City, Beth Tate Guilmette (Gary) of Dadeville and Stephanie Tate Barnett (Dan) of Jacksons Gap; and his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jonah, Charlotte, Joel Giordano, Evelyn Tate, Olivia Romano and Teddy Seals.
