He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Andrew Gilbert and Gertrude Hall Gilbert; his wife Carolyn Sue Gilbert; and his brother Robert Gilbert. He is survived by: his children, Donnie Gilbert (Susan) of Bowdon, GA and Tammie Gilbert Brock (Van) of Dadeville; his grandchildren, Brittney Gilbert Harris (Josh) and Robbie Gilbert; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn Harris and Nolan Harris.
