It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Winard Forbus of Alexander City, Alabama, born in Wetumpka, Alabama, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Barbara B. Forbus; his children, Angela F. Tsuruda (Curtis), Thomas L. Forbus (Sabrina) and Judith A. Forbus; his grandchildren, Eleanor Tsuruda-Hines (Nathaniel), Stephanie Elizabeth Forbus and Lynley Marie Forbus; his great grandchild Dorothy L. Hines; and his siblings, Patricia A. Bice, Carmen I. Blake, Margaret Holman, George E. Forbus (Anita) and Rex A. Forbus (Gerri). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His work ethic was unmatched, and his contribution to these organizations left a lasting impact.
