We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2025, at the age of 67, Rita F. Prophitt of Alexander City, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Rita's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Rita has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Charles G. Traylor of Alexander City, AL; her children, Kelli D. Prophitt and Nathan D. Prophitt (Jessica) of Alexander City, AL.; her granddaughter Emmalee J. Prophitt; her siblings, Rhonda Hendrix, Roger Bishop (Lisa), Richard Bishop (Sandy) and Rodney Bishop (Misty); her parents, Wilfred Bishop and Edith White Bishop; and her former husband Arlen L. Prophitt. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010).
