She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Gid Hayes and Zula Bell Watkins Hayes; and her sons, Dwight Burton, Dewayne Burton and Charles Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Brown (Roger) of Kellyton, Alabama, Reshanda Griffin (Jimmy) and Erica Nelson; and her daughters-in-law, Glenda Burton and Jennifer Peterson. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Faith Temple Church (425 Franklin St, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
