He was predeceased by: his parents, John Frank Simpkins and Virginia Louise Summerlin Simpkins; and his siblings, Donna Nall and Randy Simpkins. He is survived by: his son Jeffrey Simpkins of Greenville, SC; his siblings-in-law, Joy Griffin (Kenny) of Greenwood, SC, Vickie Simpkins of Birmingham, Sam Mullenix (Joyce) of Gallant, AL and Tim Mullenix (Sherry) of Greenwood, SC; and his sibling's children, Bruce Simpkins (Heather), Jennifer Dussich (George), Leslie Davis (Caleb), Adam Mullenix (Buffy), Kyle Griffin, Delilah Dussich, Giovani Dussich, Taylor Simpkins, Isaac Davis, Elijah Davis, Lydia Davis, Zakk Mullenix, Gwen Mullenix, Smokey Bain (Buffie), Adam Bain and Ansley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Radney Funeral Home (1326 Dadeville Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (210 S Rd, Alexander City, AL 35010). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
