She was predeceased by: her husband Sylvan D. New; her son Kenneth B. New; her brother Edward Messer; and her parents, James Messer and Hazel Messer.
She is survived by: her children, Marie Rodgers (Buddy, Sr.), Philip New (Donna), Susan Pridgen (Tim) and Mark New; and her siblings, Faye, Aaron and Janice. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
