She is survived by: her son Bart Hudgins (Nelda) of Aliceville, AL; her brother John Samuel Stewart (Laura); her grandchildren, Bruce Hudgins, Billy Hudgins, Shari Beauchamp and Marcus Hudgins; and her great grandchild William Hudgins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Bart, I received word on last night about Mrs. Hudgins passing. She was a vital part of my high school life and one of the main reasons why I went to college and majored in engineering. What she taught me about math and technology carried on through my college years and into my professional work as an engineer. The spirit of what she taught me not only lives on in me but in others who walked the halls of AHS. I offer my complete condolences during this time of bereavement. Alou Rice AHS c/o '82”
