He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Coleman Spiller and Edna Erline Jay Spiller; his wife Carolyn Fay Storey Spiller; his daughter Martha Erline Spiller Taylor; and his siblings, W. C. "Bud" Spiller and Mary Edna Spiller Watts.

He is survived by: his children, Jay Spiller (Carolyn) of Brooksville, MS, Byron Spiller of Sapps, AL, Edna Faye Spiller Stevens (Scott) of Greensboro, AL, Leslie Spiller (Traci) of Demopolis, AL and Mary Jean Spiller Noland (Bert) of Sapps, AL; his son-in-law Robert Taylor of Frisco, TX; and his sister-in-law Martha Storey Morgan of Vestavia Hills, AL. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren.
