He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Johnny" Thomas Phillips and Lillie Green Phillips; his siblings, Willard Phillips (Maxine), Donald Richard Phillips (Sue Carol) and Willene Phillips Waugh (Charles "Bunkum"); his daughter Susan "Susie" Anita Phillips Bryant; his son-in-law William "Bill" Lawson Bryant; and his grandson Corley Sander Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Myrlon Scott Phillips (Mauara) and Cynthia Leigh Phillips Travis (Keith); his grandchildren, Gregory "Greg" Alan Bryant (Kristen), Tracy Denise Bryant, Dackral "Dack" Scott Phillips (Lauren), Caitlin Marie Travis and Reid Parker Travis; his granddaughter-in-law Amy Lee Clements Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Arian Laine Phillips, Lawson Kreg Bryant, Grayson Leelan Bryant and Jackson Deacon Bryant. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
