He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Davis; his parents, Ed Davis and Ruby Davis; his brother Edward Davis; and his sister-in-law Ann Davis.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Hester (Tim), Bill Davis and Chris Whisenant (Lee); and his grandchildren, Rob McHugh (Angie), Luke McHugh (Heather), JoAnna Deweese (Nick) and Melodie Brooke Denson (Matt). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
