It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Goodson (Andalusia, Alabama), who passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Jackie L. Goodson; her parents, Jack Russell and Dovie Lee Russell Strickland; her grandmother Alice Robinette Phillips; and her siblings, Regina Matthew, Jessie Brunson and Frankie Strickland.
She is survived by: her husband Billy E. Goodson of Ariton; her daughter Debbie Dawkins (Tommy) of Ariton, Alabama; her grandson Brad Dawkins (Alicia) of Ariton, Alabama; her great grandchildren, Austin Sitz (Emily), Kaddan Sitz (Haiden) and Heidi Dawkins; her great great grandchildren, Gracie Sitz, Sophiea Sitz, Emmitt Sitz, Hudson Andrade and Chandler Andrade; and her sisters, Susan Graham (Charlie) of Columbus and Janet Parker (Tommy) of Pine Mountain, Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
