He is survived by: his wife Billie Etta Messick; his children, Michael Messick (Kathy) and Miriam Canant; his grandsons, Michael Canant (Callie) and Matthew Canant (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Brenton, Collin, Warren Canant and Case Canant; his stepgreat-grandchildren, James, Nash and Natalie Harp; his sisters, Lola Owens, Janice Nelson and Connie Sasser (Monroe); and his siblings-in-law, Martha Messick and Marvin Owens. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
