He was predeceased by: his brother Harold Dewrell; his mother Glenda Miller; and his half-sister Ruth Richey. He is survived by: his wife Susan Dewrell; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Norma Dewrell of Rose Hill; his grandsons, Josh Dewrell (Danielle) and Johnathon Dewrell; his great grandchildren, Allison Dewrell, Skyler Lesser and Taxton Garner; his stepgrandsons, Anthony Elmore (Hayley), Austin Elmore (Ashlynn), Robert Plumb (Catarina) and Timmy Plumb; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Stetson Elmore and Etta Elmore; his brother William F. "Poochie" (Margaret Dewrell); and also, Mark, Melissa Elmore of Babbie, Amy and Shawn Plumb of New Jersey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Straughn Athletic Booster Club.
