She was predeceased by : her husband Emmett Gunter; and her son Christopher J. Gunter. She is survived by : her grandchildren, Kristie Gunter (Peyton) of Opp, James Gunter of Andalusia and Lance Woodard of Andalusia; her great grandchild Charles Perry; and her brother James C. Perkins of Orange, Texas..
