He was predeceased by: his wife Lawana Hughes; his parents, Shelly Hughes and Effie Hughes; and his siblings, Ellis Hughes, Thelma Hardy and Roy Hughes.
He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Jeffcoat (Wesley), Michael Hughes and Debra Hughes; and his sister Lorene Hughes. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
