She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Carter; her son Jerry Carter; her sisters, Kay Donaldson and Charlotte Yancey; and her parents, Alma Pearl (Beasley) and Obie Thiel McLeod.
She is survived by: her children, Jerome Carter, Scotty Carter (Carol) and Debbie Adams (James); her siblings, Ronald McLeod (Becky), Danny McLeod (Sandra) and Phyllis McLeod; and her grandchildren, Joseph Carter, Andrew Carter, Hugh Davis Carter, Daphne Messick, Megan Savage, Jakelyn Carter, Jerri Rose Carter, Gabe Carter, Wendy Dearden, Haley Carter and Brandon Tyndall. She is also survived by great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces & nephews.
