He was predeceased by : his granddaughter Kaitlyn Cornelius; his stepdaughter B. J. Lanier; his parents, Grady Christopher and Ruby Dean Hayes Cornelius; and his sister Karen Cornelius Connell.
He is survived by : his wife Sharon Mitchell Cornelius; his children, Ty Cornelius (Ellen), Todd Cornelius (Becky), Heather Sanders (Stae), Buffy Sansom and Erica Thomasson (Byron); his grandchildren, Gauge Cornelius, Sommer "Sissy" Cornelius, Drew Cornelius, Jon Hayden Sanders, Layken Sanders, Graycie Sansom, Stella Sansom and Jax Sansom; and his sister Tammy Wright. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
