She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Ricky" Barnes; her parents, Jessie Taft Harris and Ruth Harris Nutt; her stepfather Clarence Nutt; and her siblings, Ellen Self, Polly Gunter, Mary McKinnley, Tommy Ray Harris and Bobby DeWayne Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Barnes (Amanda) of Red Level, Tracy Hilliard (Gene) of Burnout, AL and April Griggs (James) of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Victoria Hamrac (Blake), Alyssa Barnes (Austin Noland), Halley Barnes, Tori Rolling (Justin), Brady Hall, Wade Harrelson, Jr., Nathan Mitchell, Annie Griggs, Shawn Griggs, Courtney Griggs (Coleman Godwin) and Mathew Griggs; and her brothers, Walton Lois Harris and Jackie Harris. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
