He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Stanley and Lola McCune Stanley. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn F. Stanley; his children, Bonnie Stanley, Darren Stanley, Richard Prosser, Scott Prosser, Darrin Prosser, Kimberly Palms and Susan Vines; and his sister LeeAnn Stanley. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
