He was predeceased by: his parents, ImmaDean Porter and James Marshall "Cotton" Porter. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cox; his children, Chris Cox, Anthony Cox and Whitney Springer (Nick) of Rogersville; his grandchildren, Colbey Cox (Bethany) of Rogersville, MaKayla Cox (Bradley Brooks) of Moulton and Molly Mae Springer of Rogersville; his great grandchildren, Gracyn Brooks and Abby Grace Cox; and his sisters, Martha Michael (Marty) of Lexington and Carolyn Gibson (Timmy) of Lexington.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Word of Truth Baptist Church. A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Cemetery.
