He was predeceased by: his parent James E.; and his significant other Chuck Brummagen. He is survived by: his parent Katherine P. Boland; his siblings, Mike, Paul, Danny (Robin), Brian Boland (Beth), Gena Hesketh, Janet Mathias and Kathleen Hendy (Jim); his significant other Matt Heinrich; and his friend Cathi Bishop Ege. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“I hardly know what to say. I had not seen or spoken to Andy for over 50 years. He was my babysitter when my family lived on Woodruff Road. He was such a good guy. I loved him and I loved his entire family. His mother was like a second mother to me. I am so sorry that I never reconnected. I missed out. There is no doubt in my mind that Andy is in heaven, and hopefully I'll see him there.”
