He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Grice McCarty and Agnes Hughes McCarty; his wife Barbara C. McCarty; his granddaughter Krista Lynn McCarty; and his sister Beverly Pearson.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda McCarty, Shari Jackson (Dalen), Carol Caufield (Steve), John McCarty (Rhonda) and Charles McCarty; and his grandchildren, Kevin McCarty (Ashley), Daniel Jackson (Maggie), Emma Jackson (Clark) and Evan Caufield. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
