We announce the death of Ashley Blackwell (Anniston, Alabama), who passed away on August 25, 2026. Ashley will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Ronald Welch; her grandparents, Jewell Blackwell Sr., Sarah Blackwell, Roy Welch and Sarah Welch; her uncle Anthony Welch; and her great-aunt Eira Ware.
She is survived by: her mother Beverly Blackwell; her siblings, Brianna Blackwell, Geoffrey Richardson and Ronald Robertson; and her aunts and uncles, Janet Deal, Diane Mixon, Elizabeth Welch, LaTonya Welch, Gregory Welch (Connie), Jewell Blackwell (Greta) and Robert Blackwell (Noble). She is also survived by cousins, other relatives, colleagues, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Anniston Funeral Service Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel (630 S Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201).
