He was predeceased by: his wives, Betty Mable Ford and Judy Siegfred Ford; his siblings, Johnnie Ford, Elmer Ford, Melvin Ford, Hershel Ford, Audrey Montesanto and Mary Lavender; and his parents, John Wofford Ford and Audrey Stephenson Ford.

He is survived by: his children, Sally Marie Elliott (Mike), Charles Milton Ford, Jr. and James Wofford Ford (Kaye); his grandchildren, Brandi Jackson, Chad Elliott (Molly), Russell Ford and Max Gobel (Whitney); his great grandchildren, Bailey Tidwell, Makayley Tidwell, Christian Jackson, Beckham Sheldon, Lilly Pierce Elliott and Sara Stephen Elliott; his sister Sara Thomas; and his caregivers, Raven Washburn, Valerie Hearn and Rita Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
