He was predeceased by : his parents, Billy Bernell and Betty Adams Slay; his grandson Riley Wilson; and his brother B. B. Slay. He is survived by : his children, Audrey Wilson of Pell City, AL, Beth Nelms (Josh) of Murfreesboro, TN, Gina Slay of Columbia, TN and Chris Slay (Jordan) of Virginia Beach, VA; his brother Adam Slay (Elaine) of Roanoke; his stepbrother Tom Ziglar, Jr. (Glenda) of Roanoke; and his friend Leigh Slay of Birmingham, AL.. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
