He is survived by: his daughters, Ginger Whatley of Chicago, IL, Lana Whatley (Josh Goins) of Opelika, AL and Emilie Gibbons (Johnny) of Hoover, AL.; his grandchildren, Carlos Orozco, Christian Ellis, Noah Whatley, Thayer Gibbons, Lev Whatley, Liam Gibbons and Ellie Gibbons; and his friend George Hall (Gail).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd Suite A, Opelika, AL 36801). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
