We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2025, at the age of 94, David Warren Clapper Sr. of Anniston, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo Clapper and Cora Clapper; and his siblings, Claude Clapper (Raymond Clapper), Golda Mae, Dorothy, Mildred, Alta and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Golden Clapper; his sons, Tony Clapper and Richard Clapper (Sharon); and his brothers, Clark Clapper (Sue) and Gordon Clapper (Sharon). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home (50 Hamric Dr E, Oxford, AL 36203). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
