It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Wilborn Gearhart Jr. of Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gearhart and Nane Lu Gearhart; his sisters, Menetta Nunnery, Ann Doyal and Muriel Gearhart; and his granddaughter Keaten Beam.
He is survived by: his wife Lila Turner Gearhart; his daughters, Mendy Gearhart (Stacy Chaffin) and Kristi Gearhart Burgess (Garrett); his grandchildren, Landry Wright (Megan), Brock Wright (Katlin), Logan Wright (Carley), Drennen Beam (Journey Spears), Carson Wright (Madelyn), Easton Wright and Garrett Burgess II; his great grandchildren, Greyson Landry Wright, Lillie James Wright and Evie Jansen Wright; and his sister Nancy Daugherty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Anniston Memorial Funeral Home (3865 US-431, Anniston, AL 36206). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
