She was predeceased by: her husband Prince Edward Lanier; her parents, Tessie Little and Amanda Little; her granddaughter Kailani Lanier; and her brothers, Jesse Little and Issac Little.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Gibson (Dennis), Linda Wright (James) and Tracy Lanier (DeShelia); her sisters, Almeta Swain, Tessie M. Peterson and Harriet Gover; and her close friends, Gwen Hicks, Eddie Noye Satcher, Odis Burton and Dornell Clay. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
