He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Lee Remson and Ullis Knoggs; and his wife Patricia A. Elston. He is survived by: his daughters, Lollisa E. Deramus (Kenny) of Hope Mills and Deneen Elston of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Patrena T. Williams (Keith) of Atlanta, Georgia, Darris S. Martin (Christina) of Atlanta, Georgia, Cedric L. Mason, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Roderick D. Mason of Atlanta, Georgia; his great grandchildren, KaJuan Bowie of Atlanta, Georgia, Zachary Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, Davion Martin of Atlanta, Georgia and Rylan D. Mason of Atlanta, Georgia; and his siblings, Eddie B. Johnson and Jeanette Boone (Charles). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
