He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferris McManus and Irene McManus; his wife Peggy Lee McManus; and his brothers, Col. Malcolm Sherrell McManus and Benny Ray McManus.
He is survived by: his sons, James Thomas McManus, II (Gale) and Walter David McManus; his grandchildren, Kristen Brooke McRae (Joe) and James Andrew McManus (Abbey); his great grandchildren, Joseph Samuel McRae (JoJo), Jackson Thomas McRae and Mason Coleman McManus; and his siblings, Wilson W, Philip E. McManus and PharmD.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Liberty Grove Methodist Church (21941 AL-48, Woodland, AL 36280). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Liberty Grove Cemetery Fund at 21941 Highway 48, Woodland, AL 36280.
