He is survived by: his wife Denise Hicks; his children, Sabrina Tate, Stacie Wald, Amorelle Harper (Shaun), Autumn Hurst (Phillip) and Denton Plummer (Valarie); his grandchildren, Madison Tate, Aime Tate, Kensie Owens, Dillon Stokes, Jordan Wald, Alexia Harper, Addison Harper, Kensley Hurst, Haven Hurst and Gage Hurst; his great grandchild Indigo Owens; his niece Malori Miner; his great-niece Camdynn Miner; his great-nephew Carson Miner; and his siblings, Susie Hale and Laverne "Bug" Hicks.
A reception was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gray Brown-Service Mortuary (1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Gray Brown-Service Chapel (1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201).
