She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, L. D. Hayes, Sr. and Nova Marie Harwood-Hayes; the father of her children Emmett "Bill" Bennett; her husband Keith Hartwell; her daughters, Sherry Mayberry (Matthew) and Nita Bennett (Heidi); and her grandchildren, Elise Mayberry, D. J., Elijah Malone, Anna Wright and Walker McKenney. She was also cherished by three great-grandchildren; four step-daughters; two step-sons; and a host of step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
