He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Montgomery Taylor and Princie Taylor Noble; his wife Nancy Gibson Taylor; his siblings, Bruce Taylor, Brenda McKelvy and Pat Thomas; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Thomas, Troy McKelvy, Linda Gibbs and Joan Gibson.

He is survived by : his daughters, Teresa Taylor Snider (John) and Pamela Taylor Cooper (Tate); his grandchildren, Dr. Taylor Nicholas Snider (Adrienne), Nathaniel Tate Cooper (Morgan) and Emily Francis Snider; his great grandchildren, Amelia Cooper and Olivia Cooper; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Gibson, Bill Gibson, Eddie Brown, JoAn Taylor, Vickie Brown and Regina Gibson.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations be made to Arab Wesleyan Church Building Fund (P.O. Box 1086, Arab, AL 35016) or to Shepherd's Cove Hospice (408 Martling Road, Albertville, AL 35951).
