She was predeceased by : her parents, E. A. "Dock" Fortner and Burney Duvall Fortner; her husband William Odell Sadler; and her siblings, Donald Fortner, Cary Fortner, Robert Fortner, Gladys Byrom and Helen Stillwell.

She is survived by : her brother Horace; and her sister-in-law Bobbie Fortner of Arab. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
