Jackie Nix Obituary

We announce the death of Jackie Nix (Arab, Alabama), who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 75. Jackie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavon Ray Nix and Clara Pauline Smith Nix; and his brothers, Billy Ray Nix and Robert "Cobb" Nix. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Nix; his children, Kary Galbreath (Brandon Galbreath), Danieale Leak and Patrick Leak; his grandsons, Isaac Galbreath and Levi Galbreath; his sisters, Ruby Maples and Shelby Woods; and his siblings-in-law, Gwen Tucker and Chris Downey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel (1340 N Main St, Arab, AL 35016). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
