He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Stewart and Edna Irene Swords Stewart; the mother of his children Ann Padgett Stewart; and his siblings, W. O. Stewart, Rickey Stewart, Jean Stewart and Linda Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Etta Fay Couch Stewart; his children, Cynthia "Cindy" Kennedy (Andy) and Keith Stewart; his stepchildren, DeEtta Couch Shives (Steve) and Doug Couch (Amanda); his siblings, Peggy Glass, Charles "Bo" Stewart (Carrie), Larry Stewart (Penny) and Tommy Stewart (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Zachary Stewart, Bethany Kennedy Mitchell, David Stewart, Leah Kennedy Van Beusekon, Allison Kennedy, James Kennedy, Anna Couch Green, Allie Couch Graham and Case Couch. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
