She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Burks and Ruby Mable Ayers Burks; her former husband Maylond Thompson Bishop, Jr.; and her brother Earl Edward Burks, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Tommy Bishop; her son Brian Bishop (Jenifer Maze Bishop); her granddaughters, Maggie Bishop and Mollie Bishop; and her sisters-in-law, Gloria Burks and Sarah Bunch (Joe Van Bunch, Sr.). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
