He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Melton and Annie Clyde Melton. He is survived by: his wife Ann English Melton; his daughters, Tonja Hollaway (Dewayne) of Arab, AL and Susan Melton of Arab, AL; and his sister Sherron Demeree. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Arab First Baptist Church.
