It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Pylant Mitchell of Ardmore, Alabama, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Donald Larry Pylant and Merle Hodges Basman; her brother Jim D. Pylant; and her daughters, Jennifer Herkommer and April McDowell.

She is survived by : her husband Gowen Mitchell; her son Jasen Martin; and her siblings, Carey Pylant, Robert Rakoski, Charlotte Barber (Robert) and Carol Pylant (Dan). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; along with a host of friends.
