We announce the death of Edith Mae Bowen of Ardmore, Alabama, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 85. Edith will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Edith’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Pack and Pearly Russell Pack; and her husband Lyndal Wayne Bowen. She is survived by: her son Toney Martin Smith; her grandchildren, Kristi Gentry (Brandon), Brittany Sloan (JD), Ryan Graviet (Kayla), Jessica Key and Ashley Graviet; and her brother Marce Pack. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Gatlin Cemetery (28574 State Line Rd, Ardmore, AL 35739).
