With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Homer Ray Taft (Ardmore, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2024 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Homer Ray Taft to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his siblings, James, Calvin, Thomas Taft and Ola Mae Puckett; his wife Imogene Brown Taft; and his son Dwight.

He is survived by : his son Derrell Brown (Eva Brown); his daughter-in-law Mary Brown (Dwight); his grandchildren, Kristi Brown Combs, Ethan Brown, Amber Brown Anderson and Jeffery Brown; and his great-nephew Shaun Puckett. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Gatlin Cemetery in Ray Taft's name.
