Peggy Jean Bulter Rutledge Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2025, at the age of 90, Peggy Jean Bulter Rutledge of Ardmore, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Carroll Butler and Mildred Gertrude Butler; her husbands, Carlos Mason and Bert Rutledge; her siblings, Oliver Butler (Joyce), Glenn Butler, Wayne Butler and Deloris Davis; her children, Charlotte Mason, Barbara Rolin and Terry Mason; and her granddaughter Sunshine Rolin.
She is survived by: her sons, Hoyt Mason (Myra) and Johnny Rolin; her siblings, Roy Butler (Shelby), Jason Butler (Mary), Lena Davis (John), Debbie Montgomery (Bobby), Eileen Butler and Debbie Butler; her granddaughter Rebecca Rich (Kevin); her great grandchildren, Gracie Rolin (Bryson), Adam Rich, Mason Black and Dylan Rich; and her close friend Jesse Hillard (Janie). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home (27186 Main St, Ardmore, AL 35739).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that people plant flowers in their yard or hang up a hummingbird feeder in memory of Mrs. Peggy.
