As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Anthony may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Matthews and Nellie Danford Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Matthews; his sons, Scotty Matthews (Jennifer) and Dennie Matthews (Morgan); his grandchildren, Chloe and Noah; his brothers, Dennie Matthews (Kizzie) and Kennith Matthews (Debbie); and his mother-in-law Mary Sue Yohn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (1000 Hodgesville Rd, Dothan, AL 36301). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
