Hayes; his children, James Marable (Sonya) of Chicago, IL, Ted Searcy of Ashland, AL, Wanda Whitaker (Vesey), Ophelia Gibbons (Norman) of Lineville, AL, Tracy Gamble (William) of Douglasville, GA, Shericka Hayes of Austell, GA, Monica Hayes of Austell, GA and Tammy Tatum of Austell, GA; his stepchildren, Johnny Street of Lineville, AL, Ben Street (Jean) of Lineville, AL and Nakia Street of Murfreesboro, TN; and his siblings, Lillie Murphy of Decatur, AL, Helen Trammell of Lawrenceville, GA and Roy Hayes of Montgomery, AL.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Refuge Healing Temple (184 Blakes Ferry Sub Rd, Lineville, AL 36266). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Adams-Buggs Funeral Service~ Clay Chapel (85251 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Lineville Community Cemetery (115 Cemetery Street, Lineville, Alabama 36266).
