She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Smith and Ann Carr Smith; her husband William Dale Barnett; her brother Wayne C. Smith; her father-in-law Huron Willard Barnett; and her siblings-in-law, Beverly and Paul Fain.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christy B. Gardner (Spencer) and Lorie A. Banister (Rodney); her grandchildren, Kylee Brock (Cameron), Megan Marshall (B. J.) and Brooklyn Brown (Isaac); her brother Alan Smith (Jean); her nephews, Douglas Smith and Paul Smith; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Peter Smith, Carolyn Smith, Lilah Smith and Tenzin Smith; her siblings-in-law, Kathy Jackson (Bruce) and Jimmy Barnett (Tammy); and her cousins, Linda White, Lee Batts and Teri Collins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and four very special caregivers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rock Springs Baptist Church (780 Rock Springs Rd, Goodwater, AL 35072). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church in Goodwater, Alabama.
