She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Wayne Wheeles; her parents, Phillip Oliver and Wilma Oliver; her parents-in-law, Donald and Freda Wheeles; her sister Diana; her brother-in-law James Horn; and her granddaughter Victoria Grace Parsons.
She is survived by: her siblings, Cherry Mitchell (Larry) and Tranz Oliver (Cheryl); and her children, Angie Wheeles (Joseph), Keisha Taylor (Chris) and Jamie Wheeles (Melissa). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her close friend.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home-Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
